Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers are continuing the investigation of a motor vehicle crash on highway 103 at milepost 6.5.

On November 18, 2014, at approximately 6:10 a.m., Oregon State Police troopers were dispatched to a single vehicle rollover crash on highway 103 at milepost 6.5 with a single confirmed fatality. Preliminary investigation at the scene suggests icy conditions were a factor as the involved vehicle, a 2000 Ford F-250 pickup, was negotiating a curve, lost control, rolled over and struck a tree. The vehicles driver and another passenger were not injured. The right rear occupant died as a result of injuries sustained during the crash.

The names of those involved are being withheld at this time pending next of kin notification and will be released once that has occurred. OSP Lieutenant Andrew Merila said OSP was assisted at the scene by the Clatsop County Sheriff's Office, The Oregon Department of Transportation, MEDIX Ambulance service and the Elsie Area Fire Department.

No Photographs are available at this time.
