Dixie has been found and returned to her owner. Thank you for your assistance.

Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers are asking for your help locating a missing 4-year-old Pit Bull named 'Dixie'. The dog went missing late last night after the car it was riding in was involved in a minor traffic crash on Highway 6 near Aerts Road, about 1/2 east of Banks.

The driver of the vehicle was transported to the St. Vincent Hospital where she was treated and released. At some point during the event 'Dixie' fled the scene.

Anyone who may have seen 'Dixie' in the area of Highway 6 and Aerts Road is asked to contact the Oregon State Police at 503-375-3555. OSP will contact the dog's owner or put you in touch with them.

Media with follow-up questions may email the OSP Public Information Officer (PIO) at OSPPIO@state.or.us for additional information.
