On October 23, 2015, at 6:42 PM, the Josephine County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call from a person reporting a deceased male near the Lake Selmac boat ramp.
Sheriff's Deputies responded and found Roger L. HUNTINGTON, age 43, of Crescent City, deceased in his black Chevrolet Trailblazer. Sheriff's deputies requested the assistance of the Oregon State Police.
After initial investigation by detectives with the Oregon State Police, the Josephine County Major Crime was activated to investigate HUNTINGTON's death which is being investigated as a homicide.
The Josephine County Major Crime consists of the Josephine County District Attorney's Office, the Grants Pass Department of Public Safety, the Josephine County Sheriff's Office and the Oregon State Police.
Anyone who has information regarding this investigation or was in the area of Lake Selmac on Friday afternoon and may have seen HUNTINGTON or his vehicle is encouraged to contact the Oregon State Police Southern Command Center at 541-776-6111.
