On August 26, 2017, at 5:53 PM, Oregon State Police responded to the report of single vehicle crash on I-5 northbound near milepost 33 in Jackson County, which is the Central Point exit.
The operator of a 2000 BMW, 58 year old CURTIS, Bruce Anthony, from Grants Pass, veered off the highway after taking the 33 northbound off ramp and drove into a field adjacent to the freeway rolling over landing on its top. Witnesses on scene reported being passed by the BMW northbound on I-5 at a high rate of speed just prior to the crash. Emergency medical personnel pronounced CURTIS deceased on scene.
Oregon State Police was assisted on scene by a deputy medical examiner from the Central Point Police Department, Jackson County Fire District and the Oregon Department of Transportation. There are no photos available.
