On September 30, 2017 at approximately 7:30 AM, Oregon State Police Troopers responded to a call of someone shooting at cars on Interstate 5 near the Oregon-California border at mile post 1 in Jackson County.
Additional information was learned and the Jackson County Major Assault Death Investigation Unit (MADIU) was activated. MADIU is comprised of State, County and Local law enforcement agencies.
