The suspect involved in the officer involved shooting along Interstate 84 east of The Dalles is deceased at the scene of the incident. Interstate 84, Biggs Junction Milepost 105 - 109 remains closed for the investigation of the incident.

An Oregon State Police trooper was wounded Thursday afternoon during a traffic stop along Interstate 84 east of The Dalles. There is a suspect detained at the scene of the incident and there is no threat to the public or nearby communities. Additional law enforcement resources are enroute to the scene. The OSP PIO is also enroute from Portland area and will update information after arriving on scene.
