On Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at approximately 5:18 P.M. Oregon State Troopers and emergency personnel responded to the report of a single vehicle crash on I-84 near milepost 367.
Investigation reveals that a Toyota 4Runner, operated by Kevin Luby (42) of Meridian Idaho, was westbound on I-84 when the vehicle drifted off the roadway and into the median, rolled, and crossed the eastbound lanes before stopping.
Luby sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. He was not wearing a seat belt.
Texting is being investigated as a possible contributing factor to the crash.
