Oregon State Police (OSP)are continuing the investigation into the death of an adult male found early Thursday morning on the Oregon State University (OSU) campus after he fell from a building located on the south side of the campus. The initial investigation indicates the man was an OSU student. The death appears to not be suspicious and was the result of an intentional act.
According to Lieutenant Steve Mitchell, on February 6, 2014 at approximately 3:40 a.m. a contract janitorial employee located an unresponsive male on the west side of Bloss Hall on the south side of the OSU campus. OSP troopers responded and found a deceased 20-year old man from Corvallis lying in the parking lot west of Bloss Hall.
Evidence at the scene indicates the man jumped from near the top of Bloss Hall and died from his injuries.
OSP was assisted at the scene by Benton County Medical Examiner, OSU Department of Public Safety and Corvallis Fire Department.
