Five Injured in Multi-Vehicle Traffic Crash - Highway 126 west of Redmond (Photo)

Five people were injured Thursday afternoon in a four-vehicle traffic crash on Highway 126 at the entrance to Cline Falls State Park west of Redmond. Oregon State Police (OSP) investigated the crash and cited one of the involved drivers.

On March 20, 2014 at approximately 2:02 p.m., a Toyota Camry driven by DONNA WOODMAN, age 54, from Redmond, was westbound on Highway 126 stopped waiting to turn left into Cline Falls State Park when it was struck in the rear by a Dodge Neon driven by a 16-year old female from Redmond. After impact, the Dodge Neon slid off the right shoulder and struck a parked pickup. The Toyota was pushed into the eastbound lane where it collided with an eastbound Subaru Legacy driven by HELEN HAGEN, age 70, from Culver.

The Dodge's driver, two occupants of the Toyota, and two occupants of the Subaru were transported by ambulance to St. Charles Medical Center in Redmond with non-life threatening injuries.

OSP was assisted at the scene by Deschutes County Sheriff's Office, Redmond Fire and Rescue, and ODOT. Senior Trooper James Reeher was the lead investigator.

The Dodge's juvenile female driver was cited for Following Too Close. Her name is not available for this release.

The highway was blocked about 45 minutes.
