The Oregon State Police (OSP) is asking for the public's help to locate a missing, possibly endangered 51-year old Springfield man last seen March 8, 2014 at the Gateway Transit Center in Portland.

On April 21, 2014, the mother of RANDEL JON BROWN, age 51, contacted OSP Klamath Falls detectives to report her son had been missing since March 8. According to other family members and contacts, BROWN was in Portland with his wife who had checked into a hospital. An uncle reportedly rented BROWN a room for two nights at a Portland-area motel in the 3800 block of North Interstate Avenue.

BROWN's bank in Springfield told investigators that there has been no account activity since March 8. Family does not believe BROWN has any money or anyplace to go and that he has been dealing with mental illness for many years. Since checking out of the hospital, his wife has been taken care of by a family member due to her mental illness.

BROWN is described as a white male, 5'6", 200 pounds, with white hair (balding) and brown eyes. He is entered as a missing person in LEDS/NCIC computer databases.

Anyone with information regarding BROWN's location is asked to call Oregon State Police at 800-452-7888 or Sergeant Robert Fenner at (541) 883-5713, robert.fenner@state.or.us.
