Oregon State Police (OSP) is continuing the investigation into the cause of Tuesday morning's single vehicle injury traffic crash that occurred along Highway 26 west of Manning. According to TripCheck.com, the highway is open for travel in both directions.
On July 29, 2014 at approximately 9:25 a.m., a 2012 Buick sport utility vehicle driven by an 83-year old female was traveling eastbound on Highway 26 near milepost 36 when it went off the south side of the highway and about 75 feet down an embankment.
Firefighters extricated the driver and her 87-year old husband/passenger, both from Nehalem. Both were transported to Legacy Emanuel Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
OSP was assisted by Washington County Sheriff's Office, local fire and medical responders, and ODOT. Trooper Darin Ladick is the lead investigator.
