Oregon State Police (OSP) arrested a Halsey woman Friday afternoon following an investigation and subsequent Grand Jury indictment related to a December 2013 serious injury traffic crash on Highway 228 about one mile east of Brownsville in Linn County.
On August 1, 2014 at approximately 4:36 p.m., OSP arrested RHONDA K. HORNER, age 61, from Halsey, for Assault in the Third Degree. A warrant had been issued for her arrest after a Linn County Grant Jury indicted her on the charge in July. She was lodged in the Linn County Jail.
On December 2, 2013 at approximately 6:54 p.m., a 2006 Honda Accord four-door driven by HORNER was westbound on Highway 228 near milepost 8 when it crossed the centerline and collided head-on with an eastbound 2005 Chevrolet sport utility vehicle driven by a 46-year old man from Crawfordsville.
BRADY was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
HORNER was extricated by firefighters and transported by air ambulance to Sacred Heart Regional Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries.
