Oregon State Police (OSP) is continuing the investigation into the cause of Monday afternoon's reported five vehicle traffic crash that resulted in the death of an adult female on the southbound lanes of Interstate 5 about two miles south of Rogue River. Names and details are expected to be available for release Tuesday.
Preliminary information indicates on September 8, 2014 at approximately 5:20 p.m., five vehicles were involved in a crash at the bottom of the southbound off ramp of Interstate 5 at exit 43. One person was deceased at the scene and there were other reported persons injured.
The right southbound lane and off ramp were blocked.
