On June 28, 2016, the OSP Criminal Investigations Division received information from the Oregon Department of Justice (Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force) that an image of a child being sexually abused had been uploaded from a residence at 1958 Sams Loop# 1, Bend, Oregon 97701.
OSP Detectives began an investigation and determined Jeremy L SWINNEY, age 32, resided at that residence. SWINNEY was contacted who subsequently admitted to downloading and trading images and videos of children being sexually abused. Detectives recovered 298 photos and videos from SWINNEY's cell phone depicting child pornography.
SWINNEY was arrested for Possession of Material Depicting Sexually Explicit Conduct of a Child in the 1st degree and Encouraging Child Sexual Abuse in the 1st degree. He was lodged at the Deschutes County Jail.
