Astoria Woman Arrested After Indictment Related to February 2014 Serious Injury Hit & Run Crash East of Astoria (Photo)

Oregon State Police (OSP), with the assistance of Clatsop County Sheriff's Office, arrested a 41-year old Astoria woman Wednesday related to a February 2014 serious injury hit-and-run traffic crash investigation.

According to Lieutenant Andrew Merila, JUSTINE LYNN McGEE, age 41, was arrested in Astoria after she was indicted by a Clatsop County Grand Jury and an arrest warrant was issued. McGEE was lodged in the Clatsop County Jail on the following charges:

* Assault in the Second Degree (2 counts)
* Assault in the Third Degree
* Failure to Perform Duties of a Driver in an Injury Traffic Crash
* Reckless Driving
* Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants
* Initiating a False Police Report

The arrest followed an investigation into a February 28, 2014 that occurred approximately 9:20 p.m. on Highway 30 about eight miles east of Astoria. A 2002 Dodge Neon with three occupants was traveling on Highway 30 near milepost 88 when a gray 1996 Honda Passport sport utility vehicle with Oregon license plates crossed the centerline and collided head-on with the Dodge Neon.

The driver of the Honda Passport, identified during the investigation as McGEE, fled the scene on foot.

The Dodge's driver, ABRAHAM P. KORPOH, age 22, from SE Portland, was transported by LifeFlight to Legacy Emanuel Medical Center with critical injuries. The Dodge's two adult female passengers were transported by Medix ambulance with non-life threatening injuries to Columbia Memorial Hospital in Astoria.

OSP was assisted at the scene by Clatsop County Sheriff's Office, Knappa Fire Department and ODOT. Investigative assistance also provided by the Clatsop County District Attorney's Office. Questions regarding the case and pending court appearance(s) should be directed to the District Attorney's office.
